Cookie Policy

We set only the essential cookie that keeps you signed in — no analytics, ads, or tracking.

This Cookie Policy explains the cookies MedSchoolSOS uses, why, and how you can control them. Cookies are small text files a site stores in your browser. We keep our use of them to the bare minimum — the only cookies we set are the ones needed to keep you signed in.

Cookies we use

We set just one kind of cookie: the session cookie that remembers you're logged in as you move between pages. It's placed by Supabase, the provider that runs our sign-in and accounts. These cookie names begin with sb-.

Without this cookie you couldn't stay logged in, so we can't run the service for signed-in users without it.

Cookies we do NOT use

  • No analytics cookies — we don't measure or track your browsing with cookies.
  • No advertising or marketing cookies — we run no ads.
  • No third-party tracking cookies — nothing follows you across other sites.
  • No social-media pixels — no Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, or similar trackers.

We do not sell your data, and we do not track you across other sites or services. Our web fonts are self-hosted, so loading a page sends no request — and no cookie — to any font provider.

Managing cookies

You're in control of cookies in your browser. Every major browser lets you view, block, or clear cookies for a site, and you can usually find this under Settings → Privacy. Be aware that the cookie above is essential: if you block or delete it, you won't be able to sign in or stay signed in to MedSchoolSOS.

Consent

Under EU ePrivacy rules, strictly necessary cookies do not require your prior consent — they're exempt because the service can't function without them, and the only cookie we set falls into that category. That's why we don't use a consent pop-up to gate cookies. Instead, we show a brief informational notice that links to this policy, so you know exactly what we set and why.

Changes to this policy

If our use of cookies ever changes, we'll update this page and the date below. If we were ever to introduce non-essential cookies, we would ask for your consent first.
