This policy explains cancellations, renewals, the EU right of withdrawal, and when you can get money back. It forms part of our Terms of Service.
The short version
- Subscriptions are monthly and renew automatically until you cancel.
- You can cancel anytime. You keep access until the end of the period you've paid for, and you aren't charged again.
- We don't give refunds for the unused part of a month after you cancel.
- If something is genuinely faulty or not as described, your statutory consumer rights still apply.
How to cancel
Go to your Account page and open the billing portal (powered by Stripe), then cancel. Your subscription stays active until the end of the current paid period and then simply doesn't renew. You can re-subscribe later at any time.
Automatic renewal
Each subscription renews on a rolling monthly basis at $10 per subject (plus any tax), charged to your payment method through Stripe, until you cancel. We'll always show the recurring nature of the subscription before you pay.
Your EU right of withdrawal (14 days)
As an EU consumer, you normally have 14 days to withdraw from a contract for digital content or services bought online.
Because a subscription gives you immediate access to the content, at checkout you are asked to expressly request that we start providing the service straight away and to acknowledge that, by doing so, you lose your 14-day right of withdrawal once access has begun. This is how the service can unlock for you immediately and is permitted under EU consumer law.
In practice this means:
- If you subscribe and access the content, the 14-day withdrawal right no longer applies — but you can still cancel renewals at any time as above.
- If you subscribe but have not yet started using the service (you haven't accessed the content), and you're within 14 days, contact support@medschoolsos.com and we will withdraw the purchase and refund you.
Faulty or misdescribed service
The above does not affect your mandatory statutory rights. If the service is faulty, not as described, or not provided, you remain entitled to the remedies consumer law gives you (such as a fix or a refund). Contact us and we'll put it right.
Billing errors, duplicate or accidental charges
If you were charged twice, charged after cancelling, or charged in error, email support@medschoolsos.com with the details and we will investigate and refund any incorrect charge promptly.
How refunds are paid
Approved refunds are returned to your original payment method via Stripe. The time it takes to appear depends on your bank or card provider.
